Let no unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building up the one in need and bringing grace to those who listen.

For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Do you see a man who speaks in haste? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

When words are many, sin is unavoidable, but he who restrains his lips is wise.

Speaking rashly is like a piercing sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

With the tongue we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, this should not be!

But in the church, I would rather speak five coherent words to instruct others than ten thousand words in a tongue.

For no word from God will ever fail.”

Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.

Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment. Indeed, he has crossed over from death to life.

Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. We all stumble in many ways. Consider ships as well. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot is inclined. As for anyone who hears My words and does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world.

For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

Know therefore that wisdom is sweet to your soul. If you find it, there is a future for you, and your hope will never be cut off.

This is the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants what must soon come to pass. He made it known by sending His angel to His servant John,
