that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Do not be quick to speak, and do not be hasty in your heart to utter a word before God. After all, God is in heaven and you are on earth. So let your words be few.

And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as Christ is pure. Everyone who practices sin practices lawlessness as well. Indeed, sin is lawlessness. But you know that Christ appeared to take away sins, and in Him there is no sin. . . .

A worthless man digs up evil, and his speech is like a scorching fire.

You unleash your mouth for evil and unharness your tongue for deceit.

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good conduct, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.
