A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give a defense to everyone who asks you the reason for the hope that is in you. But respond with gentleness and respect,

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

How long must I wrestle in my soul, with sorrow in my heart each day? How long will my enemy dominate me? Consider me and respond, O LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, lest I sleep in death,

Bless the LORD, all His angels mighty in strength who carry out His word, who hearken to the voice of His command.

Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Get up and go south to the desert road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.”

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

One day the beggar died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s side. And the rich man also died and was buried.

Then I was given a measuring rod like a staff and was told, “Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the number of worshipers there. But exclude the courtyard outside the temple. If anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouths and devours their enemies. In this way, anyone who wants to harm them must be killed. . . .

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness, to rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, and over all the earth itself and every creature that crawls upon it.”

Call to Me, and I will answer and show you great and unsearchable things you do not know.

And the angels who did not stay within their own domain but abandoned their proper dwelling—these He has kept in eternal chains under darkness, bound for judgment on that great day.

No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Now when men began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they took as wives whomever they chose. So the LORD said, “My Spirit will not contend with man forever, for he is mortal; his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and afterward as well—when the sons of God had relations with the daughters of men. Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great upon the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was altogether evil all the time. . . .

Are not the angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His heavenly hosts.
