Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.
Watch yourselves, so that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be fully rewarded.
Therefore, beloved, since you already know these things, be on your guard so that you will not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure standing.
Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Look, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison to test you, and you will suffer tribulation for ten days. Be faithful even unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.
strengthening the souls of the disciples and encouraging them to continue in the faith. “We must endure many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said.
But as for you, continue in the things you have learned and firmly believed, since you know from whom you have learned them.
Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
But my prayer to You, O LORD, is for a time of favor. In Your abundant loving devotion, O God, answer me with Your sure salvation.
But if it is unpleasing in your sight to serve the LORD, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living. As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD!”

The plans of the heart belong to man, but the reply of the tongue is from the LORD. All a man’s ways are pure in his own eyes, but his motives are weighed out by the LORD. Commit your works to the LORD and your plans will be achieved. The LORD has made everything for His purpose—even the wicked for the day of disaster. Everyone who is proud in heart is detestable to the LORD; be assured that he will not go unpunished. . . .
Therefore, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in Him,
Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
Teach me Your way, O LORD, that I may walk in Your truth. Give me an undivided heart, that I may fear Your name.
I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door, which no one can shut. For you have only a little strength, yet you have kept My word and have not denied My name.
neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.
I am Your servant; give me understanding, that I may know Your testimonies.
Resist him, standing firm in your faith and in the knowledge that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kinds of suffering.
If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with endurance the race set out for us.
But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom, and continues to do so—not being a forgetful hearer, but an effective doer—he will be blessed in what he does.
This is the day that the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
The one who overcomes will inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he will be My son.
To those who by perseverance in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality, He will give eternal life.
Therefore prepare your minds for action. Be sober-minded. Set your hope fully on the grace to be given you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
and you will receive a lavish reception into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Therefore take up the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you will be able to stand your ground, and having done everything, to stand.
Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
So do not throw away your confidence; it holds a great reward.
And in Your loving devotion, cut off my enemies. Destroy all who afflict me, for I am Your servant.
Then I saw a great white throne and the One seated on it. Earth and heaven fled from His presence, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne. And there were open books, and one of them was the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their deeds, as recorded in the books. The sea gave up its dead, and Death and Hades gave up their dead, and each one was judged according to his deeds. Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death—the lake of fire. And if anyone was found whose name was not written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
Guard the treasure entrusted to you, with the help of the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly to the end the assurance we had at first.
Let the unrighteous continue to be unrighteous, and the vile continue to be vile; let the righteous continue to practice righteousness, and the holy continue to be holy.”
Because you have kept My command to persevere, I will also keep you from the hour of testing that is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
As for you, let what you have heard from the beginning remain in you. If it does, you will also remain in the Son and in the Father.
Therefore, brothers, strive to make your calling and election sure. For if you practice these things you will never stumble,
Hold on to the pattern of sound teaching you have heard from me, with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
if indeed you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope of the gospel you heard, which has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.
Then we will no longer be infants, tossed about by the waves and carried around by every wind of teaching and by the clever cunning of men in their deceitful scheming.
By faith Moses, when he was grown, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. He chose to suffer oppression with God’s people rather than to experience the fleeting enjoyment of sin. He valued disgrace for Christ above the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking ahead to his reward.
Simon Peter replied, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life.
Nothing that a man sets apart to the LORD from all he owns—whether a man, an animal, or his inherited land—can be sold or redeemed; everything so devoted is most holy to the LORD.
“Look,” said Peter, “we have left all we had to follow You.”
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who overcomes, I will give the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone inscribed with a new name, known only to the one who receives it.
He must hold firmly to the faithful word as it was taught, so that he can encourage others by sound teaching and refute those who contradict it.
Be on the alert. Stand firm in the faith. Be men of courage. Be strong.
And now, little children, remain in Christ, so that when He appears, we may be confident and unashamed before Him at His coming.
For now we can go on living, as long as you are standing firm in the Lord.
But you, O man of God, flee from these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made the good confession before many witnesses. I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who made the good confession in His testimony before Pontius Pilate: Keep this commandment without stain or reproach until the appearance of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Therefore, brothers, stand firm and cling to the traditions we taught you, whether by speech or by letter.
encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good word and deed.
But as for you, brothers, do not grow weary in well-doing.
Join me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
From now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but to all who crave His appearing.
When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and encouraged them all to abide in the Lord with all their hearts.
After the synagogue was dismissed, many of the Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who spoke to them and urged them to continue in the grace of God.

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac on the altar. He who had received the promises was ready to offer his one and only son, even though God had said to him, “Through Isaac your offspring will be reckoned.” Abraham reasoned that God could raise the dead, and in a sense, he did receive Isaac back from death.
By faith Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous when God gave approval to his gifts. And by faith he still speaks, even though he is dead.
By faith Enoch was taken up so that he did not see death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who approaches Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in godly fear built an ark to save his family. By faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.
By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, without knowing where he was going.
Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings, for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace and not by foods of no value to those devoted to them.
Now Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house, testifying to what would be spoken later.
But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are His house, if we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope of which we boast. Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts, as you did in the rebellion, in the day of testing in the wilderness,
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we profess.
“Rabbi,” Nathanael answered, “You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”
“Yes, Lord,” she answered, “I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world.”
Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me.
I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.
We believe and know that You are the Holy One of God.”
So He said to the Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, you are truly My disciples.
But you, beloved, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit,
keep yourselves in the love of God as you await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you eternal life.
I tell you, everyone who confesses Me before men, the Son of Man will also confess him before the angels of God.
Then Jesus declared, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and then looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”
Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus, To all the saints in Christ Jesus at Philippi, together with the overseers and deacons: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God every time I remember you. In every prayer for all of you, I always pray with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, . . .
Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, that is how you must stand firm in the Lord, my beloved.
And I saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire, beside which stood those who had conquered the beast and its image and the number of its name. They were holding harps from God,
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who overcomes will not be harmed by the second death.
I know your deeds, your labor, and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate those who are evil, and you have tested and exposed as liars those who falsely claim to be apostles.
Nevertheless, hold fast to what you have until I come.
And to the one who overcomes and continues in My work until the end, I will give authority over the nations.
Without growing weary, you have persevered and endured many things for the sake of My name.
The one who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of My God, and he will never again leave it. Upon him I will write the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God (the new Jerusalem that comes down out of heaven from My God), and My new name.
But you do have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments, and because they are worthy, they will walk with Me in white.
Like them, he who overcomes will be dressed in white. And I will never blot out his name from the Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father and His angels.
Take notice, therefore, of the kindness and severity of God: severity to those who fell, but kindness to you, if you continue in His kindness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.
As God’s steward, an overseer must be above reproach—not self-absorbed, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not greedy for money.
