Then Satan entered Judas Iscariot, who was one of the Twelve. And Judas went to discuss with the chief priests and temple officers how he might betray Jesus to them. They were delighted and agreed to give him money.

And while they were eating, He said to them, “Truly I tell you, one of you will betray Me.”

But avoid irreverent, empty chatter, which will only lead to more ungodliness,

(Now with the reward for his wickedness Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong and burst open in the middle, and all his intestines spilled out.

Then Judas, who would betray Him, said, “Surely not I, Rabbi?” Jesus answered, “You have said it yourself.”

To the pure, all things are pure; but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure. Indeed, both their minds and their consciences are defiled.

So Jesus declared, “The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in authority over them call themselves benefactors.
