He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth upon nothing.

He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth; its dwellers are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. He unleashes His lightning beneath the whole sky and sends it to the ends of the earth.

Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.

The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of His loving devotion.

He builds His upper rooms in the heavens and founds His vault upon the earth. He summons the waters of the sea and pours them over the face of the earth. The LORD is His name.

For behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.

For He looks to the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens.

They will neither harm nor destroy on all My holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the sea is full of water.

This is the burden of the word of the LORD concerning Israel. Thus declares the LORD, who stretches out the heavens and lays the foundation of the earth, who forms the spirit of man within him:

I will make the sun’s shadow that falls on the stairway of Ahaz go back ten steps.’” So the sunlight went back the ten steps it had descended.

Has not My hand made all these things? And so they came into being,” declares the LORD. “This is the one I will esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, who trembles at My word.
