Be on the alert. Stand firm in the faith. Be men of courage. Be strong.
Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes.
Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, that is how you must stand firm in the Lord, my beloved.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
