But they all denied it. “Master,” said Peter, “the people are crowding and pressing against You.” But Jesus declared, “Someone touched Me, for I know that power has gone out from Me.” Then the woman, seeing that she could not escape notice, came trembling and fell down before Him. In the presence of all the people, she explained why she had touched Him and how she had immediately been healed. . . .

and constant friction between men of depraved mind who are devoid of the truth. These men regard godliness as a means of gain. Of course, godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, so we cannot carry anything out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with these. Those who want to be rich, however, fall into temptation and become ensnared by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.

And when you pray, do not babble on like pagans, for they think that by their many words they will be heard.

You have no part or share in our ministry, because your heart is not right before God. Repent, therefore, of your wickedness, and pray to the Lord. For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.

Seek out the LORD and His strength; seek His face always.

Beloved, I pray that in every way you may prosper and enjoy good health, as your soul also prospers.

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how we ought to pray, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans too deep for words.

and we will receive from Him whatever we ask, because we keep His commandments and do what is pleasing in His sight.

Anoint Aaron and his sons and consecrate them to serve Me as priests. And you are to tell the Israelites, ‘This will be My sacred anointing oil for the generations to come. It must not be used to anoint an ordinary man, and you must not make anything like it with the same formula. It is holy, and it must be holy to you.

So then, this is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. The LORD is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous.

A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

You once spoke in a vision; to Your godly ones You said, “I have bestowed help on a warrior; I have exalted one chosen from the people. I have found My servant David; with My sacred oil I have anointed him. My hand will sustain him; surely My arm will strengthen him.

For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but think of yourself with sober judgment, according to the measure of faith God has given you.

With one accord they all continued in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.

But your iniquities have built barriers between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He does not hear.

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.

The LORD is near to all who call on Him, to all who call out to Him in truth.

If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.

Rejoice at all times. Pray without ceasing. Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

“Comfort, comfort My people,” says your God. “Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her forced labor has been completed; her iniquity has been pardoned. For she has received from the hand of the LORD double for all her sins.” A voice of one calling: “Prepare the way for the LORD in the wilderness; make a straight highway for our God in the desert. Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill made low; the uneven ground will become smooth, and the rugged land a plain. And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all humanity together will see it. For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”

But he must ask in faith, without doubting, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.

Call to Me, and I will answer and show you great and unsearchable things you do not know.

And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Then Jesus told them a parable about their need to pray at all times and not lose heart:

In those days Jesus went out to the mountain to pray, and He spent the night in prayer to God.

Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, Jesus spoke a blessing and broke them. Then He gave them to the disciples to set before the people.

Whoever turns his ear away from hearing the law, even his prayer is detestable.

He sent forth His word and healed them; He rescued them from the Pit.

Hallelujah! I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly. Great are the works of the LORD; they are pondered by all who delight in them. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

The LORD upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to You, and You give them their food in season. You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His deeds. The LORD is near to all who call on Him, to all who call out to Him in truth. . . .

So I tell you: Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.

Early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up and slipped out to a solitary place to pray.

“Come, follow Me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.”

So then, this is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.

Suddenly a leper came and knelt before Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”

May my prayer be set before You like incense, my uplifted hands like the evening offering.

Blessed be the LORD, for He has heard my cry for mercy. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart rejoices, and I give thanks to Him with my song.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger or dissension.

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” (which is the first commandment with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life on the earth.” Fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath; instead, bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear and sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. . . .

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not be encumbered once more by a yoke of slavery. Take notice: I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. Again I testify to every man who gets himself circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. You who are trying to be justified by the law have been severed from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the hope of righteousness. . . .

This is the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants what must soon come to pass. He made it known by sending His angel to His servant John, who testifies to everything he saw. This is the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear and obey what is written in it, because the time is near.
