being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness.

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

So we say with confidence: “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”

for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from the snare.

Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. The one who fears has not been perfected in love.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

So do not throw away your confidence; it holds a great reward. You need to persevere, so that after you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised.

For it is we who are the circumcision, we who worship by the Spirit of God, who glory in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh—

I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is troubling you will bear the judgment, whoever he may be.

But those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.

And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.

And this is the confidence that we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, To the saints and faithful brothers in Christ at Colossae: Grace and peace to you from God our Father. We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard about your faith in Christ Jesus and your love for all the saints— the faith and love proceeding from the hope stored up for you in heaven, of which you have already heard in the word of truth, the gospel . . .

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope.

He who fears the LORD is secure in confidence, and his children shall have a place of refuge.

Seek out the LORD and His strength; seek His face always.

So the one who thinks he is standing firm should be careful not to fall.

For this reason, even though I suffer as I do, I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him for that day.

When they saw the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they marveled and took note that these men had been with Jesus.

Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or terrified of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.

But each one is tempted when by his own evil desires he is lured away and enticed.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be apparent to all. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

He who trusts in himself is a fool, but one who walks in wisdom will be safe.

The LORD will fulfill His purpose for me. O LORD, Your loving devotion endures forever—do not abandon the works of Your hands.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or empty pride, but in humility consider others more important than yourselves.

For You formed my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Your works, and I know this very well.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

By this we can be sure that we have come to know Him: if we keep His commandments.

and we will receive from Him whatever we ask, because we keep His commandments and do what is pleasing in His sight.

Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be offered for everyone— for kings and all those in authority—so that we may lead tranquil and quiet lives in all godliness and dignity. This is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim that anything comes from us, but our competence comes from God.

The LORD Himself goes before you; He will be with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid or discouraged.”

In Him and through faith in Him we may enter God’s presence with boldness and confidence.

Now to Him who is able to do so much more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us,

Do not be deceived: God is not to be mocked. Whatever a man sows, he will reap in return.

So do not throw away your confidence; it holds a great reward.

Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who was tempted in every way that we are, yet was without sin. We are obligated to thank God for you all the time, brothers, as is fitting, because your faith is growing more and more, and your love for one another is increasing. That is why we boast among God’s churches about your perseverance and faith in the face of all the persecution and affliction you are enduring. All this is clear evidence of God’s righteous judgment. Do not present the parts of your body to sin as instruments of wickedness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and present the parts of your body to Him as instruments of righteousness.
