For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

And we have come to know and believe the love that God has for us. God is love; whoever abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him.

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

We love because He first loved us.

I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

Beloved, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

The LORD your God is among you; He is mighty to save. He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you with His love; He will rejoice over you with singing.”

And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of these is love.

Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps His covenant of loving devotion for a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commandments.

And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a ringing gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have absolute faith so as to move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and exult in the surrender of my body, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. The one who fears has not been perfected in love.

May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.

But be very careful to observe the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the LORD gave you: to love the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways, to keep His commandments, to hold fast to Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.

The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in loving devotion.

But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in the loving devotion of God forever and ever.

Help me, O LORD my God; save me according to Your loving devotion.
