For you, brothers, were called to freedom; but do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh. Rather, serve one another in love.
All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they shared with anyone who was in need.
Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, or free, but Christ is all and is in all.
Be imitators of God, therefore, as beloved children,
No one should seek his own good, but the good of others.
And though one may be overpowered, two can resist. Moreover, a cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a servant of the church in Cenchrea. Welcome her in the Lord in a manner worthy of the saints, and assist her with anything she may need from you. All who are under the yoke of slavery should regard their masters as fully worthy of honor, so that God’s name and our teaching will not be discredited. Those who have believing masters should not show disrespect because they are brothers, but should serve them all the more, since those receiving their good service are beloved believers. Teach and encourage these principles.
