But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize of God’s heavenly calling in Christ Jesus.
Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation,
Although by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to reteach you the basic principles of God’s word. You need milk, not solid food!
Then a shoot will spring up from the stump of Jesse, and a Branch from his roots will bear fruit.
But those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed about by the waves and carried around by every wind of teaching and by the clever cunning of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Christ Himself, who is the head. From Him the whole body, fitted and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love through the work of each individual part.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you encounter trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
I thought that age should speak, and many years should teach wisdom.
The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”

This is the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants what must soon come to pass. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear and obey what is written in it, because the time is near. He will sustain you to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God, who has called you into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.
Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual, but as worldly—as infants in Christ. I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for solid food. You planted them, and they have taken root. They have grown and produced fruit. You are ever on their lips, but far from their hearts.
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of My hand. My Father who has given them to Me is greater than all. No one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand.
Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”
And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.
“But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings, and you will go out and leap like calves from the stall.
And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the Prophets.
Grandchildren are the crown of the aged, and the glory of a son is his father.
So teach us to number our days, that we may present a heart of wisdom.
He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age. For your daughter-in-law, who loves you and is better to you than seven sons, has given him birth.”

Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak, and his vitality had not diminished.
For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.
But this is not the way you came to know Christ. Surely you heard of Him and were taught in Him—in keeping with the truth that is in Jesus— to put off your former way of life, your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be renewed in the spirit of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize of God’s heavenly calling in Christ Jesus. All of us who are mature should embrace this point of view. And if you think differently about some issue, God will reveal this to you as well.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
Brothers, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be mature.
So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work.
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard about your faith in Christ Jesus and your love for all the saints— the faith and love proceeding from the hope stored up for you in heaven, of which you have already heard in the word of truth, the gospel . . .
For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,
For I want you to know how much I am struggling for you and for those at Laodicea, and for all who have not met me face to face, that they may be encouraged in heart, knit together in love, and filled with the full riches of complete understanding, so that they may know the mystery of God, namely Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Now to Him who is able to do so much more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us,
I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
Do not be deceived: God is not to be mocked. Whatever a man sows, he will reap in return.
Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.
As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
I consider that our present sufferings are not comparable to the glory that will be revealed in us.
What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
