And the Father who sent Me has Himself testified about Me. You have never heard His voice nor seen His form, nor does His word abide in you, because you do not believe the One He sent.
But Jesus spoke up: “It is I; do not be afraid.”
For it is My Father’s will that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.” At this, the Jews began to grumble about Jesus because He had said, “I am the bread that came down from heaven.”
That is why I told you that you would die in your sins. For unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”
So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing on My own, but speak exactly what the Father has taught Me.
“Truly, truly, I tell you,” Jesus declared, “before Abraham was born, I am!”
