The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.

Be indebted to no one, except to one another in love. For he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.

Here is what I have seen to be good and fitting: to eat and drink, and to find satisfaction in all the labor one does under the sun during the few days of life that God has given him—for this is his lot. A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the sinner’s wealth is passed to the righteous.
