Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!
Repent, then, and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped away,
to put off your former way of life, your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;

This promise belongs to you and your children and to all who are far off—to all whom the Lord our God will call to Himself.”
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
Although God overlooked the ignorance of earlier times, He now commands all people everywhere to repent. For He has set a day when He will judge the world with justice by the Man He has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead.”
Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day on which your Lord will come.

But when they believed Philip as he preached the gospel of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

For at that time there will be great tribulation, unmatched from the beginning of the world until now, and never to be seen again. If those days had not been cut short, nobody would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, those days will be cut short.

Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the disciples of the Lord. He approached the high priest and requested letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any men or women belonging to the Way, he could bring them as prisoners to Jerusalem. As Saul drew near to Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me?” “Who are You, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” He replied. . . .
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
Say to them: ‘As surely as I live, declares the Lord GOD, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked should turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’

But the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.

For this reason, you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour you do not expect.
From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
We know that we are of God, and that the whole world is under the power of the evil one.
and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.
I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.
“And now this decree is for you, O priests:
No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

because the mind of the flesh is hostile to God: It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
For “you were like sheep going astray,” but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance.
He must gently reprove those who oppose him, in the hope that God may grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth.
As Saul drew near to Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.

and after taking some food, he regained his strength. And he spent several days with the disciples in Damascus.
The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless. They heard the voice but did not see anyone.
For three days he was without sight, and he did not eat or drink anything.

My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back, consider this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and cover over a multitude of sins.
“Yet even now,” declares the LORD, “return to Me with all your heart, with fasting, weeping, and mourning.”
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;
I consider that our present sufferings are not comparable to the glory that will be revealed in us.
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, for the Lord and not for men,
Masters, supply your slaves with what is right and fair, since you know that you also have a Master in heaven. Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful, as you pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.
He saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
