Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her
Indeed, no one ever hated his own body, but he nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church.
For no word from God will ever fail.”
If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.
In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
This is the day that the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
On the contrary, we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother caring for her children.
Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep. And God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!”
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness.
Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
So his servants said to him, “Let us search for a young virgin for our lord the king, to attend to him and care for him and lie by his side to keep him warm.”
“Why is my lord weeping?” asked Hazael. “Because I know the evil you will do to the Israelites,” Elisha replied. “You will set fire to their fortresses, kill their young men with the sword, dash their little ones to pieces, and rip open their pregnant women.”
As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the bones are formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.
Then the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being.
You yourselves know, brothers, that our visit to you was not in vain. As you are aware, we had already endured suffering and shameful treatment in Philippi. But in the face of strong opposition, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God. For our appeal does not arise from deceit or ulterior motives or trickery. Instead, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, not in order to please men but God, who examines our hearts. As you know, we never used words of flattery or any pretext for greed. God is our witness! . . .
Therefore encourage and build one another up, just as you are already doing.
From infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work.
As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
“Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.
You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its savor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.
Seek out the LORD and His strength; seek His face always.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, then to the Greek.
I consider that our present sufferings are not comparable to the glory that will be revealed in us.
